Since the early Nineties Victoria Beckham has dominated global headlines and has risen to become one of the world’s wealthiest and most recognised modern women in the media spotlight. Victoria was one fifth of the world’s most influential girl band, The Spice Girls and, after her marriage to footballer David Beckham, in 1999 she became the female half of arguably the most powerful duo in show business. Global pop star turned acclaimed fashion designer she has become a staple of international show business and an unstoppable force in the fashion arena. Victoria made her debut in the fashion industry in 2004 when she designed a range of jeans for Rock & Republic called VB Rocks; since then she launched her own brand dvb Denim in 2007 and later in 2008 launched her own high-end designer collection at New York Fashion Week which was met with extremely positive reviews. “It was a very impressive, accomplished collection, with not a single dud,” wrote one critic, whilst others called the collection “beautiful,” “desirable” and “classy.”
However, 2011 is proving to be the year that will truly see Victoria hailed as one of the world’s most prestigious modern fashion designers.
